Mourinho Backs Endrick: Staying at Real Madrid

The uncertainty surrounding Real Madrid's young forward Endrick's future has come to an end. According to a report from Diario AS, also confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid's management formally informed the player's agency, Roc Nation, of their decision to keep Endrick in the squad. According to the report, head coach Jose Mourinho personally approved this plan, stating his belief that the player could take on a significant role this season.

With Aston Villa and AS Roma having shown concrete interest via a loan structure — with one of the two clubs reportedly prepared to offer a guaranteed starting spot — Endrick is said to have impressed Mourinho during pre-season, convincing the coach he could play a meaningful role either through the middle or on the right flank. It's recalled that Endrick, who joined from Palmeiras in the summer of 2024 for around €35 million (potentially rising to €60 million with add-ons), has since made 40 appearances for Real Madrid, scoring seven goals, and was part of Brazil's squad at the recent World Cup.

It's noted that the decision has pleased club president Florentino Perez, who has always held the player in high regard. Despite Real Madrid's summer signing of Carlos Espi raising concerns for Endrick's role, the club has decided against letting the young forward leave this summer. It's noted that the situation will be reassessed in January, with a loan move potentially back on the table during the winter window should the player fail to secure regular playing time.
