Pep Guardiola's exit from the club has triggered a major shift in the Premier League's head coach salary rankings. According to Capology's latest data, Arsenal's Spanish head coach Mikel Arteta now sits at the top of the list, with a £10 million base salary plus a £5 million bonus tied to Champions League qualification, bringing his total to £15 million.

Here are the Premier League's 10 highest-paid head coaches:

1. Mikel Arteta – Arsenal (£15m): Rose to become the No. 1 highest-paid coach following Guardiola's departure on a £20 million salary.

2. Xabi Alonso – Chelsea (£13m): Liverpool's hesitation became Chelsea's gain, as Alonso chose Chelsea over an Anfield reunion, agreeing a salary higher than Andoni Iraola's.

2. Oliver Glasner – Nottingham Forest (£13m): Following a trophy-laden spell at Crystal Palace, he became Forest's fifth head coach in a year; according to The Sun, this high salary was the key factor convincing him to join.

4. Roberto De Zerbi – Tottenham Hotspur (£12m): Agreed following a difficult negotiation process, this salary is seen as money well spent for now given his role in keeping the club in the league.

4. Enzo Maresca – Manchester City (£12m): Signed a deal that represents savings for City following Guardiola's departure.

6. Andoni Iraola – Liverpool (£10m): A major jump from his Bournemouth salary, Iraola's pay is surprisingly higher than that of champion Arne Slot.

7. Unai Emery – Aston Villa (£9.5m): Having taken a relegation-threatened club to consistent Champions League qualification since October 2022, the Spanish coach's salary is seen as well earned.

8. Michael Carrick – Manchester United (£6.5m): The cheapest option for United, Carrick earned his permanent deal through performance.

9. Matthias Jaissle – Newcastle United (£6m): Signed for Newcastle on terms similar to Eddie Howe's contract, below his previous salary at Al-Ahli.

10. Frank Lampard – Coventry (tied with David Moyes, £5m): Following Jaissle, who is unlikely to accept a pay cut, Lampard's new deal means he earns roughly three times the club's highest-paid player.

10. David Moyes – Everton (tied with Frank Lampard, £5m): Having secured a significant salary negotiation upon returning to a relegation-threatened Everton, Moyes has since guided the club to mid-table safety.
