Italian Serie A giant AC Milan has taken a critical step for a new head coach. According to Fabrizio Romano's report, Portuguese head coach Ruben Amorim has reached an agreement in principle with Milan. The agreement was completed between all parties and Amorim will take charge of Milan together with a June 2030 option. The 40-year-old Portuguese head coach is reported to put his official signature as the Italian team's head coach next week. Romano's report also included the expression "Agreement completed, ALL DONE".
One of the most important stops in Ruben Amorim's career is Sporting Lisbon. The Portuguese head coach signed a major success by winning the Portuguese League championship for the first time in 19 years with Sporting in the 2020-21 season. On the Milan side, the goal is to bring the team back to the top of Europe after the last season. Rossoneri, who experienced disappointment in Serie A last season, has great expectations from the modern football understanding that Amorim will play with the 3-4-3 formation. The high-tempo, pressing style of play that the Portuguese head coach will apply at San Siro has already attracted the attention of the fans. Milan will set off with the goal of returning to the Champions League next season under Amorim's leadership. According to the information conveyed by Romano, Amorim will also be quickly involved in the squad planning; the head coach is expected to share his priorities for the summer transfer window with the Milan management.
