The emergence of experienced managers also brought with it interpretations that the federation is looking for an experienced figure who can rebuild the national team.

Of the candidates, Arne Slot is currently without a club after leaving his role at Liverpool at the end of May. The 47-year-old manager is a figure who stood out with the title he won at Feyenoord and the Premier League triumph in his first season at Liverpool. The other candidate, Erik ten Hag, is currently working as technical/sporting director at FC Twente. It was also reported that Slot is cited as the favorite in the betting odds and fan polls.

With these developments, all eyes turned to the federation's decision.
