Tottenham Want Harry Kane Back

The dream of a reunion between Tottenham and their former captain Harry Kane lives on. According to TeamTalk, the north London club made an official enquiry about the English striker this summer, though with Bayern Munich accelerating new contract talks, Kane is said to be ready to commit his future to the Bundesliga champions. According to the report, Barcelona also made a similar enquiry about Kane this summer.

It's noted that Kane and his camp are aware of Tottenham's interest, but that the player currently has no plans to return to north London as he prepares for a holiday following England's third-place finish at the 2026 World Cup. With Kane just 47 goals behind Alan Shearer's Premier League record of 260, and a personal appeal to returning to England, it's emphasised that footballing logic currently points towards Munich; it's recalled that the player, despite having won domestic honours with Bayern, remains in pursuit of the Champions League trophy that has so far escaped him.

With head coach Roberto De Zerbi acknowledging that strengthening the attack is the club's priority before September 1, it's noted that Tottenham have moved to address the issue once again. It's emphasised that while Bayern are prepared to offer Kane a three-year deal until 2029 despite his age, there remains a belief that even such an agreement would not entirely rule out a return to the Premier League for a couple of seasons further down the line. Although Tottenham have not secured a concrete outcome this summer, the idea of bringing their record goalscorer back is said to remain very much alive.
