Tuchel responds to critics: "I have no regrets"

After England once again fell short of the World Cup final, losing 2-1 to Argentina, head coach Thomas Tuchel responded to the sharp criticism that followed from Wayne Rooney and Harry Kane. That's all."

The comments carry an implicit rebuttal to both Rooney's "sat back like a coward" criticism and captain Kane's own remarks about the team's approach after taking the lead.

The German coach's defence came after England lost the match despite taking the lead in the 55th minute, with Lionel Messi-led Argentina finding two late goals to complete the turnaround. Tuchel emphasized that the team's performance represented its best of the tournament, implying the result stemmed from the opponent's excellence in the moment rather than a tactical error.
