UEFA Slams Infantino's World Cup Sale Plan

According to striking claims brought to light by The Times, FIFA President Gianni Infantino is preparing a new project that will shake the foundations of the football world. Reports indicate that Infantino aims to transform the World Cup, the globe's biggest sporting event, into a commercial corporation and hand over its shares to private investors. Furthermore, it is stated that these critical investor negotiations were conducted with high-profile figures close to the Trump administration in the United States. Should the plan come to fruition, Infantino is slated to take on the top role in this new structure under the title of 'commissioner'.

To secure approval for this radical shift, FIFA has given member federations a strict deadline of September 19. The offer on the table presents a very clear financial ultimatum: If the plan is accepted, a massive 40 million dollars will enter the coffers of each federation. However, federations have been explicitly informed that if they vote to reject the proposal, the payment will plummet to a much lower level of 10 million dollars.

Following this shocking development, a very harsh statement came from UEFA, the governing body of European football. Condemning FIFA, UEFA emphasized that the September 19 deadline and the one-off payment ultimatum clearly reveal the true intentions behind the project. UEFA officials stated that after consulting with stakeholders, a massive opposition front is growing against this project, adding: "FIFA cannot continue to use our sport merely as a tool to enrich themselves and their inner circle. We can grow football in the right ways. It is now time to prioritize federations, clubs, leagues, the players sweating on the pitch, and the fans in the stands."
