Manchester United have added Arsenal's young talent Myles Lewis-Skelly to their radar in the search for left-back reinforcements. According to talkSPORT, while the Red Devils' clear priority in the position remains Newcastle's Lewis Hall, the club is also considering other names who could provide cover for Luke Shaw. The 19-year-old Englishman has made 75 appearances for his boyhood club so far, mostly at left-back with some appearances in midfield.

With Piero Hincapie and Riccardo Calafiori ahead of him in the left-back pecking order at Arsenal, and Bruno Guimaraes expected to arrive in midfield, the report suggests the England international may look to leave the Emirates Stadium in search of more regular playing time. According to the report, Hall remains United's clear priority, but should negotiations with Newcastle fail to yield a breakthrough, the club could then turn to North London and make a move for the young talent.

United's transfer policy in recent seasons has been to focus on players who have made joining the club their priority, an approach seen in last summer's signings of Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko. According to journalist Andy Mitten, United's request to speak with Newcastle over Hall is a clear sign the player would like to join the Reds this summer, though the Geordie side is expected to demand a high fee.
