Vlahović back on Barcelona's agenda: final push

With his Juventus contract expiring, Dušan Vlahović has made a new move for his future. According to Mundo Deportivo, the Serbian striker has once again offered himself to Barcelona, who are searching for a centre-forward following Robert Lewandowski's departure.

The Catalan club's number one target in that position remains Atlético Madrid's Julián Álvarez, who has openly stated his desire to leave. However, uncertainty over Ferran Torres' future has opened another door in Hansi Flick's attack, and that has prompted Vlahović to act again. The Serbian offers a more traditional striker profile, effective inside the box and strong in the air.

Vlahović's Juventus contract expires on June 30, and with renewal talks stalled, the player is expected to become available on a free transfer. The absence of a transfer fee is the most attractive factor in the deal. Even so, according to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona do not see Vlahović as their first choice; rather, they view him as an experienced alternative who could come into play if Ferran Torres leaves.

Although no fee would be paid, the economics of the deal are not entirely straightforward. According to the report, Vlahović is seeking a salary of around €8 million per season, plus a signing bonus of around €15 million. Barcelona must assess whether those figures fit within the club's wage structure. Barcelona are not the only club interested in the Serbian, either; Bayern Munich, Beşiktaş and Atlético Madrid have also been linked with him in recent weeks. For now, the Catalan club's priority remains Álvarez.
