An intriguing detail has emerged from Beşiktaş's negotiations with Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic. After accepting the club's annual offer of €7.5 million, Vlahovic additionally requested a 10% cut of shirt sales carrying his name. Club president Serdal Adalı rejected the request, citing club principles.

Notably, Vlahovic accepted the rejection without objection, simply replying "Okay." His mature, professional approach reportedly impressed Adalı, who — inspired by the gesture — proposed that the 10% share from shirt sales be donated to UNICEF instead.

Behind this proposal lies Vlahovic's existing connection with the organisation. The Serbian striker has served as a UNICEF volunteer ambassador in Serbia since May 2025, supporting mental health initiatives for children and young people. In this context, Adalı's suggestion is being seen as a gesture that aligns with the player's own commitment to social responsibility.

This detail of the transfer process has been well received within the football community. Beşiktaş fans have expressed satisfaction with a development that carries both sporting and social significance. Once the transfer is finalised, this social responsibility initiative is expected to be put into practice as well.
