YAMAL'S REAL MADRID CONFESSION: I WANT THEM TO LOSE

"I do watch Real Madrid, but you are always hoping they lose. Sometimes I might not watch because I'd spend the whole game sitting there wanting them to lose. I really do not like watching Bayern games because they dominate the opponent too much. I watch everyone in the Premier League, it is very entertaining. In La Liga, Betis and Villarreal are the teams I enjoy watching the most. I watch full matches, I never watch highlights. I enjoy going to demanding stadiums like Espanyol, Real Madrid, and Atletico."

Barcelona's young star Lamine Yamal used these striking expressions about his football-watching habits and rival teams in a recent interview. The Spanish talent drew attention especially with his sincere confessions about their arch-rivals Real Madrid. Stating that he followed the capital team's matches in front of the screen solely with the desire to see them drop points, the young player voiced that he found the matches of Bayern Munich boring because they were too one-sided. Yamal emphasized that he completely refused to watch only highlights or goal videos and wanted to feel football for a full 90 minutes. Not hiding his admiration for the competitive nature of the English Premier League, the winger expressed that he found all the matches played there entertaining. Adding that he appreciated the football played by Real Betis and Villarreal in Spain, the talented footballer also made an interesting comment about away atmospheres. Yamal indicated that he took great pleasure in playing away at demanding stadiums like Espanyol, Real Madrid, and Atletico Madrid, showing that pressure motivated him.
