Zion Suzuki Set to Join PSG for €35 Million

PSG are taking the final steps to add another star to their goalkeeping department in the form of Zion Suzuki. According to Fabrizio Romano, the French giants have improved their bid to Parma to €35 million, including bonuses, with negotiations now at an advanced stage. Romano wrote: "Plan confirmed: Paris Saint-Germain improve their bid to Parma for Zion Suzuki for a €35m package, add-ons included. Deal underway."

It's worth recalling that the 23-year-old Japanese shot-stopper is part of PSG's intensive goalkeeper recruitment strategy over the past four seasons, during which the club has also brought in names such as Tenas, Safonov, Donnarumma, Marin, Chevalier and Longoni. Suzuki himself is said to now be favourably disposed toward PSG's project and open to the move. It's noted that Juventus had previously emerged as a strong contender, but the Italian club withdrew from the race against PSG and turned its attention to another goalkeeper.

Suzuki, who served as Japan's first-choice goalkeeper at the 2026 World Cup and kept five clean sheets in 20 Serie A appearances for Parma last season, is said to want assurances regarding regular playing time at PSG. With Matvey Safonov and Lucas Chevalier already part of the squad, the club is reportedly planning to loan Suzuki out to Juventus for a season following his transfer, allowing him to continue his development with regular game time. The transfer is expected to become official in the coming days.
