The American-based Cadillac team, which joined the Formula 1 paddock this season, is taking an exciting step for the British Grand Prix. Normally utilizing a design dominated by black, the squad will take on a completely different identity at Silverstone. Throughout the weekend, a special "Stars and Stripes" themed exterior featuring red, white, and blue colors will be used to honor the 250th anniversary of the United States' independence.
The interesting point is that while other established teams like McLaren and Williams prepare special liveries for their home races, Cadillac chose to celebrate American independence on British soil. As it is known, the United States gained its independence from the British Empire, making this specific color scheme even more meaningful and somewhat ironic.

The qualifying rounds and sprint race of the British event coincide with America's famous Independence Day, July 4th. On this special day, symbolizing exactly the 250th anniversary of the US Congress adopting the historic Declaration of Independence, Cadillac's MAC-26 model will be decorated from top to bottom with American flag motifs. In the new concept, eye-catching stars and iconic stripes will be featured on the car's engine cover and front wing sections. This special celebration will not be limited to the cars alone; the helmets of experienced drivers Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez, the garage design, and the clothing of the entire team will also be redesigned to fit this theme.
Cadillac Formula 1 Team Holdings CEO Dan Towriss stated that the July 4th weekend is highly valuable to them, expressing great pride in representing the United States in the international arena. Towriss also believes this colorful step is a fantastic opportunity to attract a new generation of fans to the sport. One of the team's star drivers, Sergio Perez, emphasized that he expects Silverstone to be challenging and hot, but they will do their best to give their American fans a double celebration.
