Rafael Leao's future continues to dominate the agenda of both Istanbul giants. According to Italian journalist Daniele Longo, Fenerbahce are preparing to present a second verbal offer worth €45-46 million to Milan tomorrow. Having seen their opening bid of €40 million fall short, the Turkish club has been working through intermediaries and Jorge Mendes to close the gap toward Milan's €60 million valuation.
Per Longo, Leao is not currently enthusiastic about the move, preferring to continue his career in the Premier League, while his demand for a €10 million annual salary adds further complexity to the situation. Despite this, Fenerbahce are said to remain determined and continue negotiating in hopes of bringing the Portuguese star to Turkey. Milan, whose contract with Leao runs until 2028, are insisting on a permanent sale and have shown no appetite for a loan structure.
On the other side of the rivalry, Galatasaray are pursuing a more cautious strategy, maintaining contact through intermediaries rather than direct talks. The Turkish champions are reportedly working on a package worth around €10 million annually plus bonuses, and are also considering a loan-to-buy structure. Their guaranteed spot in the Champions League group stage is seen as a significant card in their hand in this race.
