The men's singles semi-final excitement at the US Open, the final Grand Slam of the season, was truly breathtaking. Alexander Zverev defeated his tough opponent Karen Khachanov after a fierce 2-hour and 59-minute battle lasting 3 sets, becoming the first name to reach the final. In a highly competitive match where two sets went to tie-breaks, the German player managed to win with his composure during critical moments. Zverev produced 37 winners, surpassing Khachanov's 28, while committing 34 unforced errors compared to Khachanov's 36. Both players maintained a very high standard in serving statistics; Zverev won 79% of his first-serve points, while Khachanov responded with 80%. With this magnificent victory, Zverev achieved an incredible milestone by advancing to his third Grand Slam final this season. As it will be remembered, the German star won his first career Grand Slam title by defeating Flavio Cobolli in the Roland Garros final, but lost to Jannik Sinner in the Wimbledon final. By reaching the final at the US Open, Alexander Zverev proved once again that he is at the absolute peak of his form. His opponent on the path to the championship will be the winner of the other semi-final matchup between Frances Tiafoe and Ben Shelton. All eyes are now on that grand final where the new champion will be crowned.
