In the thrilling third round of the Wimbledon tennis tournament, second seed Alexander Zverev faced off against American opponent Marcos Giron on Court 1. The German player maintained complete control throughout the match, securing a clean 3-0 victory without dropping a single set. The sets concluded 6-2, 7-6, and 6-4 in favor of Zverev.

The most striking aspect of the match was undoubtedly Zverev's immense domination in his service games. The German tennis star recorded an impressive 17 aces throughout the match, while his opponent Giron could only manage to find 1 ace. Zverev's first serve accuracy was exceptionally high, sitting at a remarkable 80%, and he successfully converted 75% of those first serves into points. Furthermore, he achieved a solid 63% success rate on his second serves, putting enormous and constant pressure on his opponent. On the other hand, Marcos Giron struggled significantly, winning only 38% of the points on his second serves, which became a fundamental factor determining the course of the match.

Zverev also won the crucial tie-break in the second set, completely taking over the psychological advantage. The German racket showed his class during breaking moments as well, converting 4 out of his 16 break point opportunities, whereas Giron could only capitalize on 1 of his 4 chances. In total, Zverev won 118 points compared to Giron's 102. With this commanding, highly effective, and consistent performance, Zverev once again proved just how ambitious and ready he is on his path to claiming the Wimbledon championship title.
